ABOUT ME

Hola! My name is Monica Lopez, I am a passionate Mexican-American story artist living in San Diego, CA.

​I have two associate's degrees (Art and French) and studied at BCC in Multimedia with a focus in Storyboarding and Animation. as well as completed a year-long Storyboarding mentorship at StoryboardArt.org under Sergio Paez.

​Recently, I've joined the world of Caricatures and am currently apprenticing under professional Artist, Andrea Walsh.

I've always loved animation for its ability to make magic, and drawing people has always been an utter delight. My work is heavily inspired by the stories I loved growing up and by my culture and experiences. Besides animation and art, I love story-rich video games, being in nature, and reading, and volunteering at art museums.
